I should have believed the reviews I read on the non fat/crumbs version of Wild Boar but i wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. Typically when i try something new, i get the fat/crumbs version of it. This bag had mostly meat in it. I wish there was more fat actually.

The texture is a bit too tough for me. I find the texture to be tough like brisket or chuck (non-waygu). It’s gamey like Bison, but at least Bison has flavor! The boar is low on salt, fat, and unfortunately, low on flavor to a degree. You’ll get that initial salt when you pop one in your mouth, but if you’re sucking on this thing, it disappears and all you are left with is the gamey-ness of this cut. The reviews are mixed bc some ppl get gamey flavor and some don’t. I got gamey flavor and i just wish it had the melt in your mouth texture/fat of ribeye because than i think it would be good.

I honestly do not like this one - it’s definitely in my bottom of what i would NOT order again. I do not think i will be able to finish this bag. I tried a few pieces and that’s it. I will just keep it for dogs on my delivery route or try feeding it to the seagulls as they’ll eat anything.

I think if you like gamey cuts, you may like this. It just wasn’t my cup of tea at all.
